Mid-Island Mortgage Corp. launches Commercial Lending Division

Westbury, New York - October 16, 2008

Mid-Island Mortgage Corp. has launched a Commercial Lending Division to serve clients in need of larger scale lending solutions. The newly opened division will enable Mid-Island Mortgage Corp. to accommodate those in need of financing for multi-family and mixed-use homes in addition to retail, office, and other business types.

Mid-Island has named Stephen Riley to head their Commercial Lending Division. Mr. Riley’s comprehensive knowledge and over 30 years of experience in the industry easily made him the logical candidate to direct Mid-Island’s newest endeavor. Mr. Riley enthusiastically predicts “Mid-Island’s proven record of success over the past 49 years in the residential lending arena will only be improved with the addition of the new Commercial Lending Division. Mid-Island Mortgage has now become a ‘Full Service’ company covering all types of real estate lending.” His excitement is shared by Mid-Island Mortgage Corp. The addition of a Commercial Lending Division marks Mid-Island’s second significant expansion this year. In August, Mid-Island capitalized on a growing need for sound lending practices by creating a Corporate Wholesale Division, filling the void left by vanishing investment banks. Having been established in 1959, Mid-Island will be celebrating it’s 50 year anniversary in 2009.
